They will oversee the Story and Editorial departments. The ideal candidate is a proactive and positive team-player, with the ability to multi-task amongst shifting priorities. They are an experienced leader who can motivate a team within a constantly changing environment.ResponsibilitiesStrong working knowledge of Story and Editorial departments on an animated productionWork alongside Producer to meet overall production scheduling and budget requirementsUnderstands how budget, scheduling, and overtime are affected by changes; ensure weekly quotas, department milestones, and inventory expectations are metManage work-flow and logistical activities for departmentsCoordinate the timely availability of resourcesAssign work alongside production leadership, manage schedules and workload; proactively predict and communicate as new assignments neededActively communicate status of work and assignments to the ProducerResponsible for accurate note-taking during reviews and communication of specific action items to departments, artists, etc.Create and update databases as required with notes, statuses, and other informationCreate and update production management tools and schedules such as planning, work in progress tracking systems and technical specification manualsSupervisor and mentor to Production Coordinators and Production AssistantsAssist in maintaining crew moraleOther ad hoc projects and duties as neededRequirementsPrevious experience Supervising on animated production(s), features experience preferredStrong managerial experience, leading a team within a professional, fast-paced environmentPrevious experience using Shotgun or comparable tracking softwareComprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google SuitesExceptionally strong attention to detail, organizational and follow-through skillsAbility to successfully manage multiple priorities while maintaining proactive communication with teamAbility to maintain positive attitude while anticipating issues and proactively identifying to solve and addressSkydance is a diversified media company founded by David Ellison in 2010 to create high quality, event-level entertainment for global audiences.
