World Shipping, Inc. currently has an opening for a Solutions Architect Analyst at our Corporate Headquarters.
This candidate will be responsible for developing and executing World Shipping and the Enterprises long-term growth strategy. Serves as a critical thought-partner in the Strategic Improvement team working towards assisting the enterprise business unit leaders who manage the businesses. Involved in developing processes and training for business units, products, and personnel in line with the near- and long term-growth strategies. Assist in defining business initiatives and plans and managing key strategic projects for this rapidly growing business. Will be a trusted member of our team, driving critical transformational projects and leading our annual strategy cycles.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist and participate in cross-functional projects to identify, analyze, and develop plans around critical strategic priorities
Provide research and analytical reporting and support to identify, evaluate, and implement solutions for strategic priorities or critical business issues that arise
Provide thought in key areas of business for the BU and catalyze action against these priorities
Contribute project management support and coordination among internal resources to successfully execute high-impact, cross-functional projects
Receive, address and resolve daily requests and/or issues
Be responsible to assess, design, and implement processes intended to advance strategy and objectives within the organization
Propose ideas and develop new approaches to improve business process capabilities and maximize efficiency
Evaluate each completed project overall impact on the BU (external/internal) after execution and implementation
Maintain and design process SOPs for newly/revised solutions
Manage the project plans expectations, timeline, goals and create the scope for IT
Coordinate with DEV/IT on project integrations/development, answer all questions and assist on interpreting/defining scope meanings
Continually train and be knowledge in business units operational system updates, enhancements and changes
Create/Manage system workflows utilizing macros and system logic
Other duties as assigned Qualifications
3-5 Years Experience in International Logistics (NVO experience preferred)
3-5 Years Operations experience
Have a thorough understanding of the current process in the system for Operations
Experience with Logistics platforms; Cargowise experience a plus
Reporting analytics experience; Power BI a plus
Knowledge in programming preferred
A strong business acumen
Proven problem solving and analysis skills
Effective leadership
Project management
Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make effective decisions
Strategic thinking
Must be able to work with a wide range of employees, suppliers and customers
Strong computer skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to travel as required (both domestically and internationally)
Willingness to work necessary hours to complete the job Education
High School Diploma required. Bachelors Degree preferred
Working Conditions
Primarily office environment with occasional client location visits
