Description:Job Title: Lead, Project EngineerJob Code: AS-49597Job Location:Arlington, TexasJob Description: The Project Engineer (PE) leads, coordinates, and exercises technical program execution authority over Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for planning, organizing, controlling, integration, execution of, and close out of engineering content on a variety of flight simulator programs. The position will work closely with senior level program engineering managementEssential Functions: Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.The PE performs as the technical lead over the assigned engineering team on a program to include leading/participating in program peer & gate reviews, supporting program management reviews (PMRs), and coordinating technical activity amongst the program IPTs.The PE performs weekly/monthly Cost Account Management (CAM) reviews with IPTs and is responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance for the engineering content on a program.Communicates within and outside of the organization which include customers or vendors.The PE receives engineering direction from and is accountable to a Program Engineering Manager (PEM), who has overall Program Engineering responsibility for successfully proposing, developing and delivering Product Line solutions.Work consists of making significant improvements of processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area.Implements strategic goals established by leadershipQualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences or equivalent experience.Minimum 9 years of prior relevant experienceActive Secret DOD security clearance.Experience with Clear Case, Clear Quest, DOORS, Earned Value Management (EVM), Full-lifecycle systems development, Leadership, Management of multi-disciplinary teams, and Microsoft Office.3+ years Engineering Lead experiencePreferred Additional Skills:Advanced Master's Degree in an engineering disciplineDemonstrated experience within the training and simulation industry.Demonstrated experience performing as liaison between program management, engineering management, and the technical disciplines involved in a project.Demonstrated experience performing as primary technical interface with DOD customers.Demonstrated experience working with Business Development to cultivate ECP and new program opportunities
