As Production Supervisor, you'll lead a team of 30-35 operations team members who are engaged in manufacture and production of electrification products including electrical connectors, wire and cable management equipment, and electrical fittings. You'll be accountable for establishing works schedules, meeting productivity and quality targets, and controlling the flow of production in your assigned department. Your responsibilities Lead and coordinate activities of all assigned production department team members while maintaining full accountability of maintaining a safe, healthful, and risk adverse work environment Ensure your team's operations productivity and performance with a focus on quality and meeting or exceeding target run rates. Troubleshoot and resolve technical and logistics issues within your area, and assist in developing and implementing control measures to improve operations and customer relationships Control the flow of production, manage costs and hours, establish schedules, and write required status reports and records Review equipment capabilities, methods and processes, and make recommendations regarding feasibility of utilizing alternative approaches, modifying or replacing equipment to reduce costs or improve quality Provide update status reports regarding general progress of daily production, shipments and areas of concern Utilize most effective equipment, considering skills of team members, to cost-effectively achieve objectives while concurrently implementing efforts to continuously improve performance Work closely with the Maintenance department to coordinate repair and preventive maintenance in alignment with production requirements plan Your background Bachelor's Degree in business or engineering is required with a minimum of 2 or more years of experience in production team leadership in an industrial manufacturing plant environment Proven manufacturing supervisory skills are required with ability to train, coach, and motivate employees Prefer diverse production supervisory experience spanning accountability for machining, fabrication, assembly, test, inspection, quality and/or shipping/receiving Experience in production planning & scheduling, lean manufacturing, and continuous process improvement is a plus Although a first shift position, must have ability to periodically cover the 2nd or 3rd shift operations, as required Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States More about us Bring your very own sense of pride and purpose as you help us drive forward the Fourth Industrial Revolution - creating a sustainable future for our planet, and your career.
