Bradford & Bigelow, Inc. is seeking Manufacturing Production Workers for immediate openings. Experience in Production/Warehouse/Manufacturing environments strongly preferred, but absolutely no experience in print necessary; New Hires will be trained completely on the job. Second shift comes with a 4% pay increase over hourly rate, and Third/Night Shift comes with a 7% increase over hourly rate. Ample overtime opportunities and career growth await. Open positions are in the Web Press Department, specifically Press Helpers (Rolltender, Stacker) and Material Handlers to work on a 2 person production manufacturing crew (Timson Web Presses), 4 person crew (Manroland Web Press), and/or in general support of the Web Press Department's manufacturing process. Opportunities for overtime with a regular schedule of three 12-hour shifts 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am (36 hours/week) on either the Front Half or Back Half of the week. Second Shift positions come with a 4% pay differential. Night Shift positions come with a 7% pay differential.The following openings are available:Night Shift Web Press HelpersDay Shift Web Press HelpersMid-Shift/Second Shift Material HandlerPress HelperThe Press Helper is responsible for the set up and operation of press with emphasis on safety, productivity, quality, and good housekeeping. Consistently demonstrate proficiency and understanding in the use of data collection systems, job ticket, and daily production schedule. Work in conjunction with Press Operators and helpers on a 2 or 4 person crew in support of the manufacturing process.Press Room Material HandlerThe Press Room Material Handler assists press operations by supplying machines with the appropriate raw materials to ensure smooth and efficient production. This includes but is not limited to hanging paper stock rolls, changing stock roles, bending plates, and mixing ink.RequirementsTHE FOLLOWING PERTAINS TO ALL POSITIONS ABOVE UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED :RESPONSIBILITES:• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to proper use of PPEs, safe ergonomic practices, and proper and safe handling of chemicals.• Maintain working knowledge, awareness, and compliance with ISO Procedures.• May require additional availability to work evenings and/or weekends.• Other duties as assigned, including working where directed, be it on varying presses or in other departments.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:• Excellent vision, including the ability to perceive color• Ability to operate jacks, fork truck/clamp truck safely• Ability to work at a rapid pace• Ability to remain physically and mentally alert during second shift hours (6pm - 6am) where applicable • Ability to tolerate being exposed to loud noises and moving machinery (PPE provided)• Manual dexterity• Capable of repeated standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting of skids and skid boards up to 60lbs for 8-12 hours at a timeADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:• High School Diploma or Equivalent• Fluent in English; written and oral• Problem solving skills• Communication skills• Basic math skillsThe above information indicates the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
