Basic Function of the Job:Performs clean-up and pre-assembly work of CVD graphite and inserts; Performs routine and non-routine handling and processing of CVD assembly parts; Assists and supports CVD Engineering and/or MPZ Maintenance activities, as required, in order to sustain operational efficiency and/or product quality improvement; Performs all job tasks on a rotating basis, that is, rotates job functions as assigned.This job description should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the only duties, responsibilities and qualifications for the job. Incumbents may be required to follow any additional related instructions, acquire job skills and perform other related work as required.Job RequirementsEducation:High school graduate or equivalentExperience:1-3 years' in a mechanically oriented trade is preferredWorking Conditions:Multiple-shift rotation at present requires 7/24 coverage; Facility includes separate locations and multiple production areasCVD Production involves the handling and storage of toxic substances requiring significant attention to detailExposure to dust, fumes, heat, noise and coldSpecial Skills:Must work all shifts, weekends and holidays, as production schedule demands and per assigned shift type; Must arrange overlap with other shifts to achieve effective shift exchange of informationMust demonstrate a high degree of accountability and the ability to take actions independently; Must be able to operate with little or no supervisionMust participate in II-VI sponsored training including but not limited to SCBA, CPR, First Aid and First Responders as assigned by managementMust be able to react at the operational level during incident/emergency situations involving hazardous materialsMust be able to wear required equipment during the performance of specified production and maintenance operations; Must be able to function mentally and physically while wearing safety equipment for extended periodsMust report "Clean Shaven" when coming on-duty per established II-VI standardMust be able to work mandatory overtime when requiredMust participate in "beeper" and "call-off" coverage as requiredMust be able to perform "Specifically Assigned Responsibilities" as requiredShift:Rotating shifts; Must be able to work all shifts.Job Elements:CVD Operations 60%Department Support 5%Health & Safety 10%Housekeeping 15%Training 5%Interpersonal Relationships 5%Note to recruiters and employments agencies: We will not pay for unsolicited resumes from recruiters and employment agencies unless we have a signed agreement and have required assistance, in writing, for a specific opening.II-VI is an equal opportunity employer.
